Wpf binding not updating when source changes hiv positive professionals dating
This post is a part of the serie on WPF 4.5 new features.
By reading it you’ll discover what is the goal of this property, how to use it and some scenario where it is really useful and smart to use it.
The collection used in the Item Source (Contract Notes) is an Observable Collection of objects of type Contrac Note.
Contract Note has the property Is Eco Generated, and it implements , the Notify Property Changed is also triggered on the setter of the property.
You should inform the Grid View that the collection has changed. The property (Is Visible) is being set in the Model.
So, I have this WPF datagrid, and it's quite happy in the way it works. Some background, I'm not doing the base behavior for editing/adding, but rather have a separate control outside the grid which is responsible for that behavior (as it is also the control responsible for adding the initial element).
Hi Odd Veibust, Do you set the value of the 'Is Eco Generated' property from the UI or from code behind?
If you change it from code behind, then the filter is not applied because a notification for a collection changed is not received by the Grid View.
When you bind to properties in WPF with for example: Value=”” the binding update behavior, i.e the trigger for value update, is controlled by the defaults set on the Dependency Property. What I wasn't doing with that was telling the Datagrid to look at the underlying datasource and refresh the UI from that. Yeah, I did feel a bit silly after finding that out.
